Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects designed a new 350,000 SF four-story office building on Liberty Mutual's corporate campus in Dover, NH.
The main lobby separates two wings that provide open office areas with column free interior spaces - adding to the flexibility for future reconfigurations. A full-service cafeteria with seating for up to 430 has been incorporated on the main level and has access to a south facing patio area. This dining area can also accommodate media presentations for up to 120 in a separate room as well as ‘town meeting’ type gatherings for up to 600 staff.
This building is LEED Gold-Certified and incorporates many green design features including high efficiency glazing, a white roof, and using the adjacent river water for irrigation. In addition, over 30% of all materials were locally manufactured. Interior lighting uses daylight controls and exterior lighting is “dark sky” compliant.
