Touch the earth lightly.
Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects has
always considered the environmental
impact of what we do.
Since our inception we have educated our clients regarding the benefits of building “green.” In 1998 we started GRASE (Gorman Richardson Architects Sustainable Efforts) and since then the GRASE Committee has worked diligently
developing green specs and researching
sustainable products. We have been awarded an environmental award for our outreach and awareness programs.
What is green design?
Design and construction practices that
significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact of buildings on the environment and on occupants of buildings.
Green Design practices use resources
more efficiently than standard buildings
and focus on:
Sustainable site planning
Safeguarding water and water efficiency
Enhancing energy efficiency
Conservation of materials and resources
Indoor environmental quality.
Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects believes the smallest efficiencies have great
positive impact.
