Ashland’s Main Street revitalization has been a long-term goal for the town, and GRLA is working with the owner of 10-50 Main Street on reviving the downtown area. Ashland Properties based in Holliston, Massachusetts, has plans to develop the existing 8-acre site to bring a renewed mixed-use development. GRLA has master planned the renovations of the historic buildings while designing new buildings that will provide 190 residential units as well as 28,000 square feet of commercial space. The development includes plans for a walkway along the Sudbury River, seamlessly connecting to the existing Mill Pond Park area.
Sustainable features include roof mounted solar panels, an electric shuttle to provide access to the MBTA stop located less than a mile away, fully electric utilities, all LED lighting, compliance with the latest energy code and enhanced building envelope features.
