Boston architectural College
cascieri hall
Boston, MA
GRLA partnered with the Boston Architectural College (BAC) to renovate three distinct areas of the college. The projects included studio space, entry lobby and associated gallery space, and the well-known Cascieri Hall. The goal was to maintain its original character in the Brutalist style of the building and its original finishes to the degree possible while providing improvements required to support the college’s needs into the future. Used for lectures, thesis presentations and other large gatherings, the hall required upgrades to its AV system, lighting, acoustics and an improved mobile wall system for displaying presentation drawings and artwork. This space was well loved and its upgrades would not detract from its historic meaningfulness.
