Scope:

The Webster Elementary School (K-5) was experiencing water leaks in several sections of the building. The repairs to both the main building and the modular classrooms addition roof sections stopped the leaking but caused the leaks to move towards another location of the roof/building.

Services:

GRLA was appointed by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) to conduct roof repairs and replacement with a modified bitumen built-up system and fluid applied roof coating.

  • On-site visual survey and measurements to facilitate the design

  • Exploratory openings and repairs of roof and above roofline masonry openings to identify roof system and flashing condition

  • Schematic design with report of existing conditions survey and exploratory work

  • Design Development Drawings, Project Manual and code review

  • GRLA prepared Construction Documents, coordinated the public bidding process, and provided construction administration services, while keeping the project on time and within budget.
