Harrington Auditorium

Harrington Auditorium, built in 1968, is home to WPI men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams. The 3,000-seat auditorium required some upgrades and renovations to make a better space for future WPI sporting events and activities.
GRLA developed workable solutions for updated finishes, lighting fixtures, and restrooms. Our team provided schematic design through construction documents, and phased construction for a new hung ceiling system, suspended scaffolding system, and a new wall finish system. The age of the building required an overhaul to comply with Massachusetts Accessibility requirements as well as updating both the emergency power and fire sprinkler systems.
